Gesto e segno
Il pubblico degli appassionati conosce Stefan Anton Reck per la sua attività di direttore d’orchestra, che lo vede impegnato alla guida delle maggiori orchestre e nei più rinomati teatri del mondo. Spesso presente nelle regioni del Triveneto, dove ha diretto alla Fenice di Venezia (la Daphne di Richard Strauss) e al Teatro Verdi di Trieste (il “Ring” wagneriano), Reck è oggi uno dei più apprezzati interpreti mahleriani e dei compositori della Seconda Scuola di Vienna (Berg, Schönberg, Webern). Se nota è la presenza sul podio, pressoché sconosciuta ai più è la sua passione per l'arte. Una gestualità del tutto mutuata dalla musica, dal gesto direttoriale, si trasforma, nelle opere pittoriche di Reck, in segno, procedendo per strutture e ritmi di rapida percezione; i titoli testimoniano la sua provenienza intellettuale: “La voix humaine”, “Winterreise”, “The rite of spring”, sino al commovente “Im Andenken an Mauro Bortolotti” dedicato al compositore recentemente scomparso, dove tratto e materia hanno la capacità di descrivere visivamente la densità della sua musica.
Enthusiasts will know Stefan Anton Reck for his activities as a conductor engaged with the greatest orchestras and in the most celebrated theatres in the world. Often to be found in the Triveneto regions where he has conducted in the Fenice in Venice (Richard Strauss's Daphne) and in the Teatro Verdi in Trieste (Wagner's Ring) today Reck is one of the most appreciated interpreters of Mahler and of the composers of the Secord School of Vienna (Berg, Schönberg, Webern). If he is famous for his presence on the podium, virtually no one is familiar with his passion for art. The gestural expressiveness entirely borrowed from music, from the conductor's gestures, is transformed in Reck's pictorial works into signs that follow rapidly perceived structures and rhythms. The titles reveals their intellectual provenance: “La voix humaine”, “Winterreise” and “The rite of spring”, and the moving “Im Andenken an Mauro Bortolotti”, dedicated to the composer who died recently, in which the stroke and material have the capacity to describe the density of his music visually.
